The problem

The job market wasn't built for teenagers

Two sides of the same gap — and nobody was solving either one.

🎒

Looking for your first job?

  • Indeed and LinkedIn are built for adults with resumes and years of experience
  • Walking store to store asking "are you hiring?" takes days and usually ends in no
  • No way to know pay or conditions before you show up
  • Confusing labor laws — what are you even allowed to do at 15?
🏪

Need part-time help?

  • Big job boards cost $150+ a month — far too much for a 10-hour week role
  • Hard to find people for short, flexible shifts
  • Worried about teen labor law compliance in your state
  • Still relying on walk-in hiring that takes weeks to fill

How old do I have to be to use TeenHire? +

TeenHire is built for people aged 14 to 21. Jobs are filtered automatically based on your age and state labor laws, so you only see work you're actually allowed to do.

Is it really free for teens? +

Yes, completely. Searching, applying, messaging employers, the resume builder, hour tracking and Piggy Bank are all free. There is no paid teen plan.

How much does it cost businesses? +

A single job post is $10. If you hire often, unlimited postings are $25 a month.

Is it legal to hire 14-year-olds? +

Yes. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 14 is the minimum working age for most non-agricultural jobs. Hour limits and job type restrictions apply — TeenHire enforces them so a business can't post a job that isn't legal for that age.

How is this different from Indeed? +

Indeed isn't designed for teens — most listings need experience or an 18+ age. TeenHire is built only for the 14–21 workforce, with compliance handled and pricing small businesses can actually afford.

How do you keep teens safe? +

Businesses are verified, job hours are capped by state law, and our support line notifies us immediately when either a teen or a company reports a problem.
