Welcome to TeenHire! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TeenHire platform, including our website at teenhire.app and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").
By using TeenHire, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our Service.
1. Who Can Use TeenHire
Age Requirements
Teen Users (Job Seekers):
- You must be between 14 and 18 years old
- If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must acknowledge your use of TeenHire
- You must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Employers:
- You must be a legitimate business legally operating in the United States
- You must be authorized to post jobs and hire employees on behalf of your business
- You must comply with all applicable labor laws, including laws regarding teen employment
Account Registration
To use TeenHire, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for providing truthful information, keeping your account credentials secure, and all activity that occurs under your account.
2. For Teen Users
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your age, skills, and experience
- Only apply for jobs you are legally eligible to work
- Communicate respectfully with employers
- Show up for scheduled interviews and shifts (or notify the employer if you can't)
- Report any suspicious or inappropriate employer behavior to us
Your Rights
- See only jobs appropriate for your age
- Know the pay rate and basic job requirements before applying
- Block or report employers who behave inappropriately
- Delete your account and data at any time
- Access jobs without being required to pay
3. For Employers
Legal Compliance
When using TeenHire, employers agree to:
- Comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and all state labor laws
- Only post jobs that teens are legally permitted to perform
- Follow all hour restrictions for workers under 18
- Obtain required work permits where applicable
- Pay at least minimum wage and comply with all wage laws
Prohibited Conduct
- Posting jobs that violate teen labor laws
- Requesting inappropriate personal information
- Any form of harassment or inappropriate communication with teen users
- Misrepresenting job conditions, pay, or requirements
- Cash-only payment arrangements designed to avoid taxes or labor protections
Fees and Payment
- Single job posting: $15
- Monthly unlimited subscription: $50/month
Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
4. Platform Rules for Everyone
Prohibited Conduct
- Provide false or misleading information
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to circumvent age verification
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content
- Create multiple accounts
- Share account credentials with others
Reporting Violations
If you see content or behavior that violates these Terms, report it to report@teenhire.app.
5. Teen Labor Law Compliance
The Fair Labor Standards Act sets federal standards:
- Minimum age for most non-agricultural work: 14
- Workers 14-15: Limited to 3 hours on school days, 18 hours in school weeks; 8 hours on non-school days, 40 hours in non-school weeks
- Workers 14-15: Cannot work before 7 AM or after 7 PM (9 PM in summer)
- Workers 16-17: No hour restrictions, but cannot work in hazardous occupations
Important: TeenHire provides information, not legal advice. Employers are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws.
6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Platform Role
TeenHire is a platform that connects teen job seekers with employers. We are NOT:
- An employer or employment agency
- Responsible for the actions of employers or job seekers
- Guaranteeing job placement or hiring
- Responsible for verifying all employer claims

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
7. Termination
By You: You can delete your account at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@teenhire.app.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or pose a safety risk to other users.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
